Very shortly after Apple’s purchase of Beats Electronics was made official, the iconic headphone company released what will likely be the last of the original Beats design: the Solo 2. Beats says it sold four pair of Solo headphones every minute last year, and we expect the Solo 2 to do as well.
There have been some exterior design changes to be sure, but Beats maintains it re-voiced these headphones for even better sound quality, just as it did with earlier reissues of other models. We certainly noticed a difference in how the refreshed Studio sounded, but we’re not convinced much was done to make the new Solo 2 sound any different.
