Sony’s new HT-XT1 is the company’s latest addition to the supplemental sound landscape. For $300, this flashy little platform adds a burst of power and detail to replace your TV’s paltry audio. Under the glass top are dual subwoofers in a reflex cabinet, dual stereo drivers, and a host of DSP to get things cooking. The unit also comes with a nice selection of inputs, including an an optical digital input, an analog input, three HDMI ports, and an ARC-equipped HDMI output to connect to your TV.
