This drive works just fine under the Apple OS. Toast recognized it instantly. OS X 10.3 also recognized the unit right from the Finder. There was no need to install any drivers.

This really isn’t surprising, since the Pioneer drive is the one Apple uses for its own Superdrive, but it’s still nice to know.

This drive works great. It does a great job burning the various formats (dvd+-r/w, video cd, cd’s), etc. No problems whatsoever. It is very quiet and a quality build. You can’t go wrong in purchasing this product. The Ulead software is alright.

This drive looks great. I especially like the metal casing it comes in. The blue LED power light adds a nice touch. I just wish that the write speed for the CD and also the data buffer size were higher, given the cost of the drive when compared to Sony’s DRU-510A external drive.

This drive although, slower than many, works very well, and, it works with my iMac running 10.4! Upon opening the case, I discovered it has an A106 drive which leads me to believe you may be able to upgrade the internal drive!
