I bought these after deciding that I wanted good quality sound, but didn’t want to spend the money on Westone UM2′s or Shure SE530′s.

I played some familiar music once I had them, and was immediately disappointed. It sounds as if someone has deliberately clipped all the bass and treble frequencies out of the piece, leaving only a mid-range sound.

While it’s midrange frequencies do sound very good, there is a substantially reduced soundstage – compared to a pair of 40 dollar Sony earphones I had been using for a few months.

I returned these to the store within a few hours of trying them, and I think I’ll probably just splurge and get the Westone UM2′s sometime in the near future.
