Apple will now let you fix your own iPhone in win for right-to-repair campaigners
iPhone 13 Pro style shot.

Apple will finally let iPhone users repair their own iPhones, the company announced this week. It will start this effort with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series, with an expansion to older iPhones and more of its product lines in the near future. Dubbed Self Service Repair, it is aimed at those customers who have the experience, skills, and willingness to get hands-on with product repairs. The company will send (or rather, sell) people parts, tools, and a manual in what is a huge win for right-to-repair campaigners.

The new Apple Self Service Repair Online Store will offer more than 200 individual parts and tools for sale.  Apple also noted that these customers who get access to the parts, tools, and manuals join a club of more than 5,000 Apple Authorized Service Providers and 2,800 Independent Repair Providers.

The iPhone could soon pick up a car crash detection feature that can dial 911
The Apple Watch's Fall Detection Feature.

Apple is reportedly adding an automatic car crash detection feature to the iPhone and Apple Watch, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. The feature will debut early next year, likely with iOS 16.

The report claims that Apple will work on using the sensors present in both the iPhone and Apple Watch to detect "a sudden spike in gravity," the same way Apple's Watch works at the moment for fall detection. There are no details on how it would be implemented, but likely a notification will pop up, and if the user does not respond to a notification in a timely manner, then the phone will automatically dial 911 or other emergency services. This is how the Apple Watch's fall detection feature functions.

Latest iPhone SE 3 rumors contradict previous ones
iPhone SE

After a four-year-long hiatus, Apple launched the second-gen iPhone SE in April of this year, but it seems like you won't have to wait that long for the iPhone SE 3. The device is rumored to be launching in 2022, however, we are hearing contradicting rumors about it.

While it was previously said to feature the same design as the iPhone 8, the latest rumors claim otherwise. According to a report from MyDrivers, the iPhone SE 3 will feature an iPhone XR-like design. It is tipped to have Touch ID and might sport an LCD display. The Touch ID fingerprint scanner is said to be built into the side button, like on the iPad Air. It could be powered by the same A15 Bionic chipset as the iPhone 13 series, so we can expect more enhancements on the camera front.
