It would have been nice to have a larger screensize. If I was plopping down $8,000 for a TV with speakers, I think I’d want at least a 50-inch.

Did some research and it looks like they are using a Samsung panel and B&O electronics. Not a big deal, a lot of the high-end CE companies use panels from others and then add their own electronics. Sony has been known to use Samsung panels even. Runco uses the Pioneer Kuro panels on their high-end plasmas for example.

If this whole system is $8700, then that is a pretty good deal for a B&O product. I would have expected like $30K for something like this including the TV, speaker system etc.

My guess is that it will be around $8700-10K here in the states. On their site when I clicked “Where to buy” it showed a bunch of Stores in the U.S.

If they were smart they would make it available here for the Christmas holiday season.

They have a B&O store here in Portland, I wonder if they have this in stock yet.

That LED almost looks like it's a 4:3 aspect ratio, although I am sure it's not.

Also, I don't see a mention of a subwoofer.

Leave it to the Scandinavians to create great design and great art — what a combination of form and function. Has anyone out there actually heard this system though? Any thoughts on the sound quality — does it come up to par with other home-theater-in-a-box types from the Asian manufacturers?
