Casio To Release Waterproof, Wireless TV

I4U is reporting on a new Casio TV to be launched soon in Japan that is both wireless and waterproof.

According to I4U’s translation of the Japanese press release, the Casio XFER XF-1000 can operate for three hours on a single battery charge. The device features a 10-inch screen with a 640×480 resolution. The separate tuner unit can receive terrestrial TV and also has connectors for external receivers or DVD players. The video signal is transmitted from the tuner to the display over the 2.4GHz band with DS-SS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum/ direct spread). The signal can reach about 30 meters.
