China-based Doss designs and manufactures speakers, speaker systems and home-theater-in-a-box systems for sale under its own brand name, and custom builds products within very short R&D cycles for its many OEM customers around the world. The company operates in the United States as Aspire Digital.

The AD-1200J PLUS boasts a unique slant-top vertical black on silver design, making it a showy addition to anyone’s home.

The system includes a high-performance surround sound speaker set with a powered subwoofer, two front and two rear tower speakers, and a center speaker. Each tower speaker is capable of handling 25 watts RMS per channel (impedance: 8 ohms, speaker frequency response: 200 Hz – 20 kHz) for clean, powerful sound quality.

The 100-watt powered subwoofer (impedance 8 ohms, speaker frequency response: 38 Hz – 300 Hz) powers the entire speakers system and provides 5.1 Dolby digital audio output directly from the DVD player. Remote controls and speaker cables are included.

The system includes a DVD player that delivers superior-quality playback from virtually all audio or video CD formats, including DVD, CD, CD-R/RW, CD+G, JPEG, MP3 and Kodak Picture CD. Progressive Scan, Dolby 5.1 audio output, Dolby Digital AC-3 decoder and DTS digital audio output combine to provide expansive sound and crisp images.

Parental lock settings and 4:3/16:9 display conversion are standard, and both NTSC and PAL formats are included for worldwide compatibility. Optical and coaxial outputs are provided for higher speed digital processing.

The AD-1200J PLUS system is designed to be very simple to set up and easy to use.

At an MSRP of $199.00, the AD-1200J PLUS is a complete home-theater-in-a-box that provides phenomenal value for a minimal financial commitment. The AD-1200J PLUS will be available in December 2004.
