Hitachi will launch 5 new DVD recorders inlcuding the worlds largest capacity recorder with 400 GB of storage space.

Hitachi Ltd said Thursday it will be making a full-scale move into the fast-growing market for DVD recorders by introducing the Wooo series of five models offering DVD-RAM, DVD-RW and DVD-R recording and reproduction formats.

Of the five models to be released from late May, the MS-DS400 is the first DVD recorder in the world to feature a 400-gigabyte large-capacity, high-speed hard disk drive, Hitachi said. (Kyodo News)
