"Plus the wired version has a cord that stretches almost ten feet; how often are you playing from further away than that, anyway?" Umm, no offense, but that greatly depends on the size of your HDTV sir. You are right that a majority of us want need anything less than a 10 foot cord, but gamers are so spoiled with wireless tech nowadays, that it really doesn't matter how far they are, they just like the freedom of wires. Now when it comes to sound, no wireless speaker system out there could even come close to wired speaker systems, period. Wireless charging has yet to mature, and it may be a while before it does, but it will cost more that I agree with with wireless than wired sound. Bluetooth is ok, just not great, and not worth the price at this time right now. Hopefully they'll find a way to deal with packet loss with audio data a little better before I make an investment in them. Give it time, patience, and a little luck and we'll start seeing some advances in this department...
