Integra bows DTR-5.4 Receiver
Integra has introduced the DTR-5.4 home theater receiver designed to provide a detailed and powerful set of control and multizone options at a value-conscious price.
It delivers full 6.1-channel processing, 6 x 85 watts of amplification, HD capable component video switching, 3-line digital comb filter for composite to S-video conversion, and one of the mostflexible suites of multizone options available in a home theater receiver at any price.
As a versatile two source multizone receiver, the DTR-5.4 includes a built-in port for the flexible A-Bus audio distribution system favored by many installers, and also features both fixed and variable line level Zone 2 outputs to feed second zone receivers or amplifiers. In addition, with Integra’s Powered Zone 2 feature, two of the receiver’s internal amplifier channels can be dedicated to powering a second room, eliminating the need for any additional electronics components.
As a powerful home theater receiver, the DTR-5.4 features 32-bit dual DSP processing, including Dolby Digital EX and DTS-ES expanded surround formats, and the new DTS-96/24 format. Sophisticated 192 kHz/24-bit DACs on all channels are integrated with Integra’s proprietary Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry (VLSC), previously found only on the company’s high-end DVD players, generating a smoother and more detailed audio output than conventional D/A circuitry. In addition, the receiver features Dolby ProLogic II and DTS Neo:6, which derive realistic 5.1 or 6.1-channel surround sound from stereo sources.
The DTR-5.4’s six internal power amplifier channels deliver a continuous power output of 85 Watts per channel into 8-ohm loads, and 110 Watts into 6 ohms. It boasts a linear frequency response range of 10 Hz
