when I start recording my lp one minute into the recording its says recording finished? whats going on? When I called the ION help line they tried to charge me between $24 and $124 bucks what gives? I just want to smash this thing into 100 pieces!

I got the ION Profile LP for christmas and really like the system. The only complaint I have is that when I try to download my music I loaded onto my itunes libary onto a CD it seems to take forever. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Yes, that is exactly what happens when I try to copy a full album (which I ahve about 500) but the EZ vynil converter allows to click on seperate each track but that still does not allow you to add the title of each track other wise I need to copy each track individually, a bit much.

I just got an Ion TTUSB for Christmas, and hooked it up to my MacBook. Like many of you, I also experienced problems with playback issues, but that was a quick fix. I've since transferred over 100 45s in the last 24 hours. The sound pretty good! My problem is that I've got a huge collection of 78s, and I can't seem to to get this Audacity program to cooperate. I'm able to record some 78s at either 33 1/3 and 45 speed, but I can't figure out how to change the playback speed. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks

been having a problem with feedback & only playing& recording thru 1 speaker channel,tried different usb cable,still no luck,also,just downloaded version 4.1,still same problem,the minute i try 2 use the software& click next 2 record,it starts& continues even after i close the software,anybody have any other suggestions

I had the exact same problem as mark above. GOOD NEWS – they have fixed this problem. Be sure to download the latest version of the software from the web site. Version 4.1 for Windows is the version I am using. It used to convert into iTunes at a rate of 0.5x. now it does 16x, kind of like a CD. Takes about 1 minute to convert a side of an album to iTunes. Don't use the software on the CD! If you look at the properties of the executable, it should be November 10, 2009 version. No earlier.

Sorted basic recording. I;m on Vista.System says it's mono recording only; for stereo setting go to ezvc site. Have, but this gives no info or guidance. Help please.

re ttusb10: I went to the pink slip site for the new version of ezcv, but the version listed for download was version 2.something. The CD that came with my unit says it is version 5.0. Does this mean that I should use the CD rather than download ?

just recived a ion turntable as xmas present managed to record some vynal using my toshiba laptop transfered it to my mp3 player that bit worked well. But had to go through the prosses in complete silence as there is no audio tab on the sound section in my control panel

I have just bought this turntable to convert vinal to disc,I downloaded the software no problem except I can't seem to get the AUDACITY component off the cd that came with it, ANY DOWNLOADS FOR THIS. Thanks.

On re-reading, that seems unclear. To clarify: set playback to be via your soundcard. (It is likely currently set to be via USB Codec.)

I had the same “no sound when playing recorded tracks” problem. The ION site has a cure. The FAQs on http://www.ionaudio.com/ionttusb“ title=”http://www.ionaudio.com/ionttusb“ target=”_blank” ref=”nofollow”>http://www.ionaudio.com/ionttusb describe the process in more detail (sorry can't link directly to it), but the basic fix (in XP) is to go to Control Panel>Sound & Audio Devices, then the Audio tab of the dialog box. Set playback from USB to your sound card.

I've just bought this turntable to transfer vinyl to my MacBook. The software supplied, despite the info on the box, CD, and in the manual, is not Mac-compatible. (I've used GarageBand for transfers, and have since downloaded a Mac version of Audacity).

The audio quality from the deck is quite poor: very clicky, from records which play perfectly on my old Thorens deck.

I note that Donn Dube says he's changed the supplied cartridge for an Ortofon. How did you do this, Donn?

I just got the ion turntable with the EZ Vinyl Converter. Like may others half way through the LP, I get the feed back sound and my computer freezes up. About ready to get rid of it.

I have the ION setup and running and I have the EZ Converter software….however even though my sound system is perfect with everything else it will NOT play the sounds while recording…I have tried every possible setting of sound system and nothing helps…the TT is playing but no PC sound. Any advice would be welcome…thanks

I was having the same problem with feed back through the turntable i seem to have eliminated the problem by changing the cartridge to a better one the stock one seems to be the problem. Ichanged mine to an Ortofon and have no problems since.
