iRocker Chair Combines Gaming and Music

Admit it: this's just what you've always wanted. A "Made for iPod" rocker chair with built-in speakers and iPod dock.

Futon importer Adonis Furniture may not be the first company people think about when it comes to capitalizing on the venerable iPod craze, but they certainly aren’t being shy about it with their new line of iRocker video game and iPod-compatible music chairs, hitting major retailers like Costco, Target, and Amazon.com—and many more!—just in time for the end-of-year holidays.

“The iRocker was purposely designed to be in reach for most consumers—appealing to everyone from teenagers to the 70 year-old classical music lover,” said Matt Sansoe, General Manager of Adonis Furniture, in a release. “For the more than 58 million people and growing who already have an iPod, or two, our iRocker is the perfect gift for iPod enthusiasts of all ages.”

The iRocker will be available at seven different pricing points, starting at just $99 and ranging up to at least $319, the iRockers are available in a range of colors and offer an an in-arm iPod docking station which enables a user to sit comfortably while being surrounded by iPod audio. The iRockers come with a remote control (because, apparently, the arm of the chair can sometimes be too far away!) and offer a multi-position reclining back, between two and five Alltek Vision speakers, audio inputs, a separate line in for supporting games and non-iPod audio devices. Non-docking models also have a master volume control with an LED indicator. Teen editions off the iRocker come with microfiber cushions and a range of six (bright!) colors; the adult editions offer faux leather in black, bone, or saddle colors. Built-in amps range from 10 to 15 watts of power.

Really; the only critical decision here is which iRocker best coordinates with your iPod socks.
