Panasonic Announces Blu-ray Disc Player

Consumer electronics giant releases a few details about its upcoming hardware next generation optical disc entry.

Panasonic yesterday released a few details about their first upcoming Blu-ray Disc player. The new DMP-BD10 is expected to be available this September for less than $1,500.

The DMP-BD10, said Panasonic, will make use of the Blu-ray Disc technology being backed by a trade group heavily influenced by consumer electronics rival Sony. Though Panasonic gave out few details about their new Blu-ray Disc player, they did say it would feature

  1. Ian Bell and Dan Gaul at 11:07am 29th March 2006 So here is something to think about. Either buy the Panasonic player for $1500 or buy the PS3 for 1/3 of the price which has Blu-Ray capabilities and is coming out around the same time.
