Panasonic Requests Ban Of LG’s Plasma’s
Going one step further, Matsushita AKA Panasonic has asked the Korean government to ban all imported LG Electronics PDP plasma modules.
The Japanese firm stated that LG illegally used its patented technology for PDPs for the modules, and requested the local court and customs authorities to prevent the import of LG’s PDP modules.
LG Electronics said Matsushita’s request is an illegal trade practice and will take action against the Japanese electronics firm on Tuesday.
The Korean electronics firm is planning on filing a report to the WTO and stated that it will also take legal action against Matsushita’s infringement of its own patented technologies.
