Runco just introduced four new additions to its projector lineup, based on Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing technology.

The new Reflection Series CL-710 and CL-510 and long throw models CL-710LT and CL-510LT incorporate Runco’s new GEN 3 technology, engineered to make more use of optical light engine design. Runcotakes advantage of TI’s latest HD-2 widescreen high definition DMD chip.

Among the advances are a color balancing system developed by Runco that provides gray scale tracking and gray scale reproduction. The CL-710/CL-710LT has a light output up to 18.1fL (1000* ANSIlumens) and a contrast ratio of 1800:1. The entry-level CL-510/CL-510LT delivers 17.8fL (*900 ANSI lumens) of light output and contrast ratio of 1700:1.

Integrated video processing/scaling incorporates 3:2 pulldown compensation and all models include electronic keystone correction for installation versatility and discrete I/R and RS-232 control tomake operational control easy.

These models also use professional grade lens optics with variable throw distances designed to adapt to many different types of home theater installations and room sizes. The CL-710 offers a variablethrow distance of 1.4:1 to 1.6:1, while the CL-710LT provides a longer variable throw distance of 1.85:1 to 2.4:1. The CL-510 presents variable throws of 1.75 to 2.0 and the CL-510LT provides 2.3 to3.0 (times the width of the screen.)

The CL-710 is priced at $9,995 and the CL-710LT for $10,995. They are both currently shipping. The CL-510 is priced at $5,995 and the CL-510LT for $6,995 and will be available in June 2003.
