Snapstream Launches Firefly PC Remote
Snapstream has begun shipping their new Firefly remote, a remote control for your PC that includes a full-screen media interface.
The USB based Firefly was first announced at CES 2004 and has begun shipping this week. It operates on radio frequency, avoiding the need for line-of-sight in controlling your digital audio and video applications.
The Firefly comes with Snapstream’s Beyond Media Basic, a home-theater front end based on their popular Beyond TV3 home theater PC application. Firefly is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Media Center edition and is out-of-the-box compatible with over 80 media applications for watching TV, listening to digital audio, viewing images and a host of other uses.
At $49.99, the Firefly is available immediately through Snapstream’s Web site.
