Although Sony Corp of Japan has been lagging in the flatscreen TV market, they have announced eight new models for the holiday season.
“The new TVs bring together a host of proprietary technology from throughout the Sony Group, including video, audio, game systems and semiconductors. The S-Master digital amp developed by Sony’s audio arm for high-fidelity sound has been adapted to the needs of the TV, along with constituent technologies to improve image quality from group component and R&D arms, and improved operability thanks to the game systems arm. Sony lacks its own panels, and is striving to niche its products through video, audio and operability superiority, boosting the price at the same time.”
