Sony announced a concept of a new Super Personal Video Recorder with 7 TV Tuners.
The Sony Type X is based on a PC architecture and can hold Hard-drives up to 1 Terrabyte. With 7 Tuners users can record simultanously 7 programs. I like that. Its always frustrating with my ReplayTV to only be able to record from one channel.
Sony will show the Type X PVR at the Do VAIO Show in Tokyo May 16th. Sony plans to release the Type X by year end.
