The service will a hybrid download-streaming service, in the same spirit as how Real’s Rhapsody and music download play off each other. In essence, the service will offer about 100 movies for download every month, and unlimited streaming options, for $12 a month. The downloads will be active for the month only, as long as the subscribers keep renewing their subscription to the service. It is not clear if the companies have any plans of offering a separate download-only, pay-per-movie service, for now.
