TiVo announced it has obtained a favorable summary judgment ruling in the case filed against the Company in 2001 by Pause Technology LLC.
United States District Judge Patti Saris of the District of Massachusetts has ruled that TiVo does not infringe Pause’s patent, and accordingly has ordered that judgment be entered in favor of TiVo.
TiVo has stated that it plans to file a motion seeking an Order declaring this an “exceptional case,” and requiring Pause to pay all of TiVo’s attorneys’ fees and costs.
