Toshiba’s LCD TV With Built-in DVD Player

The SD-P5000, due out August 16, is Toshiba's new 16V-inch LCD TV that features a built-in DVD player unit.

The compact product measures 350×72x344mm, weighs 5.3kg, and enables users to watch DVDs and play music CDs in the comfort of their own dining room, study room or even outside in the garden – virtually anywhere.

The product, coupled with an optional battery pack, remains operational for up to 2.5 hours. The built-in DVD player supports a wide variety of optical disc formats, such as DVD-Video, DVD-R, Video-CD, music-CD, CD-R and CD-RW. It also supports a high-speed 192kHz/24bit DAC audio to deliver high-quality stereo sound.

The SD-260J, a low-priced DVD player, will also be available on July 16. Both products are open-priced.
