I have a 2005 S60R and even though i paid for the $65 prewiring up front the dealer wants $650.00 to integrate satellite radio into the system. Is there any other way to avoid these high costs other than purchasing an external satellite receiver and needing to run a wire outsie the car for an antenna mount?

I too am looking for a solution to install Sirius in my 2004 XC90. I was told by Crutchfield that I could get a small unit that would go between the back of the factory radio and the Factory fiber optic antenna. It is almost like a splitter, and when the satellite is running that will be inputed in to the radio directly. Is this possible and what other options are available.

Thank you

Is there a solution to connect "direct" modulator for the satellite radio (XM or Sirius) to the Volvo XC 90? I am having a challenge to connect the satellite radio with the Volvo's manufacturer radio using hardwiring FM connection. All the connection are fiber optic and there is no adaptor.

I am interested in getting satellite radio in my new 2005 volvo xc 70 wagon. It is prewired so I told. I paid the extra $65.00 for the feature. Any ideas without going through the dealership ?

Most likely you will have to use an FM modulator product unless the S40 comes with the wiring harness you need (satellite ready).
