This fun website by London designer Jack Hughes uses complex coding and design to represent the time as a value in the hexadecimal color system. As time goes by, the background color rotates in accordance with the numbers on the 6-digit clock. You can view the corresponding color code by click a button on the screen. The Colour Clock may lack any real utility, but it’s mesmerizing colors and simple design have us transfixed. Just try to close the window once you see the colors change, we dare you. Hardcore color nerds can also download a screensaver for Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6. Enjoy the pretty view.
