*Note: for this iTunes CD burning tutorial we’re assuming that you already have iTunes installed and have added music to your library. If you need help importing your music, head on over to Apple’s tutorial.
Create a new playlist. To do this, click File, and then New Playlist. When you do this, iTunes will create a new tab labeled “Untitled Playlist” in the sidebar under the Playlists category. Feel free to name it whatever you like.
Next, add songs to your newly-created playlist by dragging and dropping them into it. Highlight multiple songs by holding the Shift key and pressing the up or down arrow keys. Don’t get overzealousthough – keep in mind that CD’s generally hold about 80 minutes of music. To know how long your playlist is, just look down to the bottom of the iTunes window.
Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW, then ctrl+click on your playlist in the sidebar. A menu should appear and give you the option to “Burn Playlist to Disc”. Click it, and iTunes will start burning your selected songs to the disc. This generally takes anywhere from two to five minutes depending on the number of songs on your playlist.
iTunes will notify you when the burn is finished and your CD is ready to use. Eject it and you’re ready to go!

what if itunes wont burn the cd as a audio cd what do i do so it will play in my 97 monte carlo ? it has stock so i have to use 4x on the burn or could it be my computer doesn't burn cds?
Are you dragging from your iTunes library or from an attached iPhone/iPod?
Thanks for replying,dang…I was dragging from the music stored on my ipod.It seems that you can only drag files from the itunes library into a new playlist. Is there a way to transfer the music stored on my ipod into the itunes library? The situation seems bleak but thanks again. Cheers.
I go into 'File' and select 'New Playlist' but when I drag the songs to it,I get a circle with a line through it indicating I cannot send the songs into the playlist.I think that if I have tunes in itunes library I can drag the songs into the playlist but for some reason the songs stored on my itunes cannot be placed in a new playlist therefore I cannot burn the music onto CD.WTF?
Hi, I cannot seem to burn to a Cd from a playlist in Itunes. I am nervous to unistall and re-install. I can burn from other applciations. This happenned one other time when apple updated itunes and I just waited for another version and it fixed itself? Any suggestions?
Hi, I have recently received the message unable to find burner when trying to burn a cd from itunes. My CD burner works with other applicatiosn on my computer. This happenned to me one other time when Apple updated Itunes- and I waited for the next release and it fixed itself. I am nervouse to uninstall and re-install as I may lose music etc or it might not reinstall.
