I believe a country wide filter is a TOTAL BREACH of privacy for the individual. Perhaps if corporations weren't such greedy gluttons, people wouldn't feel the need to download low quality pirated data. Whats next? We have to file a permission slip to access the net? There are better ways to secure data than imposing a blanket ban on sites for all Australians. First of all who is qualified to determine whether a site is deemed illegal or not?

Personally I wouldn't have used the words "brain-child" when it comes to this idea. You may as well rename "Australian Communications and Media Authority" to "Australian Communications and Media Nazi Party"

Absolutely disgraceful!
