Kazaa Scrambles to Implement Filters
An Australian judge has given file-sharing service Kazaa one week to install filters or be shut down.
Australian Federal Court judge Murray Wilcox has said the owners of P2P file sharing service must roll out a new version of their Kazaa Media Desktop software with search filtering capabilities by December 5, 2005, or Kazaa will be shut down.
However, Judge Wilcox’s order demands that the service immediately filter queries containing some 3,000 so-called “keywords”
