Microsoft lashes out at European Commission regulators, claiming it's in full compliance with documentation mandates.

In a blunt nine-paragraph statement, Microsoft has escalated its antitrust dispute with the European Commission regarding documenting Windows internal protocols so third party developers can interoperate successfully with Microsoft’s server platforms. Microsoft not only claims it is in full compliance with the European Commission mandate, but moreover asserts that the Commission is ignoring evidence and deliberately denying Microsoft due process.

  1. Ian Bell and Dan Gaul at 11:20am 16th February 2006 Microsoft has been "facing" this $2.38 million US daily fee for quite some time, although nothing has happened. It does sound like the EU is trying to bully them. Simple solution, pull their OS from the European market, let's see how long OEM's can last without it. PC sales will plummet and the EU will come crawling back.
