U.K. Broadband Penetration Surpasses U.S.?
Although the U.S. still has more broadband users than any other country, research firm Point Topic claims the U.K. now has more broadband connections per capita.
New data from broadband research firm Point Topic, as reported by the Times of London, shows that the United Kingdom surpassed the United States in the number of broadband connections per 100 persons. During the second quarter of 2005, the U.S. can claim 13 broadband connections per 100 people, and the U.K. can claim 14.
The Point Topic data isn’t quite borne out by estimates from other sources
