Technology supersite DigitalTrends.com - the everyday reader's guide to the world of gadgets, consumer electronics and the high-tech lifestyle - is looking for a high-energy Senior Account Executive with at least 5-10 years of online advertising sales experience. The Senior Account Executive is responsible for negotiating and selling online advertising to small to large businesses located throughout North America, with strong relationship-building skills mandatory and new business development a core focus.

Qualifications:

Candidate must develop account opportunities, interface with editorial team to define new product offerings, work with management on sales strategy and sell/close product packages to meet their business goals. A minimum of five years proven direct sales experience primarily in advertising or Internet sales and including sales transactions with CEO/VP-level management required. Experience selling to national-tier accounts preferred. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong skills in initiating high-level contacts in accounts and their agencies, acquiring sales presentation opportunities and the ability to close business.

The ideal candidate has existing relationships with media buyers and advertising clients, and will be an action-oriented, results-driven individual able to make sound and timely decisions in a fast-paced environment where product offerings and features change rapidly. Proven negotiation skills are a must. Candidates must also demonstrate exceptional customer focus and be confident communicators in phone, written and face-to-face settings. Candidates must have excellent sales skills to successfully bring in new business and respond to an ever-changing market, and strong relationship skills for follow-up sales and service with existing accounts.
