I’ve been using one of these with my PC (running Vista) for over a month and it’s great! There is a driver that you can install that enables the F14 key as Print Screen. The driver is made by Apple and is part of the Boot Camp package. It is not downloadable by itself from Apple, except if you download the entire Boot Camp CD image. I did a search on Google and found it hosted on another site.

If you think this Apple keyboard is impressive, you have to see the new Apple wireless keyboard. It is awesome, light weight, small and thin.

I have been using this keyboard since the day it came out, and I love it. SO far it is the closest thing I could find to my Macbook Pro keyboard which is my all time favorite. Since I do not own a PC there is no downside to this keyboard for me.

This keyboard is a keeper. I’ve read some people complain that the keys don’t have enough ‘cushion’ and caused pain after two days use. I haven’t noticed that – this has to be a personal preference item based on how one types.

The design is beautiful, like many Apple products. But more importantly, the keyboard is full sized, giving my not-so-nimble fingers a break – especially taking into account my usual overuse of the backspace key when typing on my 12-inch Powerbook.

Amusingly, while the ‘minimum system requirements’ are listed as “Macintosh OS X 10.4 or later”, the keyboard works just fine on my Dell laptop (with Windoughs XtraPee) – the Command Keys act as Windoughs keys. So, when I have to use the Dell, I plug in the Apple keyboard – especially since I’ve ALWAYS hated the Dell keyboard.

I highly recommend the Apple keyboard – BUT, try it out in an Apple store first. You may not like the short-travel keys. I do, but that’s me.

Downside? I think the cord is a bit short – not a problem if you have a laptop stationed nearby, but could be an issue if your desktop box isn’t right at hand.

I love the look and the light touch.

It can give off static discharges. I got a shock this morning.

On a much more trivial note. I’d like the corners of the keys to be slightly less sharp to the touch but they certainly aren’t bad or even worse than other keyboards.

The surface of the keys has slight sandpaper like quality. It’s very slight but you can feel it and hear it.

    All-in-all very cool.

I’m getting electric shocks from my new keyboard almost every time I leave and come back to it. Aside from that it’s beautful and I love the buttons. They are compact without being close together like on laptops.

Do all of these things give electric shocks? Should I return mine for another one?
