    If you’re sitting on the fence deciding whether to buy the X60, take my word it’s worth every penny.

    I’ve had ThinkPads over the years but nothing this good. It is difficult to describe how good the quality is. Lenovo took a great product and made it better. In coffee shops and at the airport even APPLE smile.

    The keyboard is solid and better than most desktop keyboards. Easy to use Back/Forward buttons are convenient when browsing and the trackpoint just makes more sense than a touchpad.

    I can’t believe it, but I really have no complaints. How’s that possible?

    Why would you consider the dock while as a part of the thickness. I haven’t seen a Thinkpad X used on the go (airport/train) while docked.

    Most business users do not need a wide screen, or even an optical drive, especially when traveling. Battery performance and security are what’s important. I have always been impressed with the Thinkpad line, and the fact that they kept this system slim despite adding a touchscreen is fantastic. I am very please with my X60.

    I am on my fourth ThinkPad, a T42p. I am considering getting a tablet, and am VERY disappointed to see that the X60t doesn’t have a Core 2 Duo option, as the HP tc4400 does. Especially given that: 1) The X60t came out after the Core 2 Duo’s were released. 2) Intel is pricing the Core 2′s the same as the Core Duo’s. 3) The X60t uses the 945GM chipset which fully supports the Core 2′s.

    I’ve read that the X60t will be rev’d in May, which probably means this will be rectified. I will most likely wait and see as I REALLY don’t want to purchase a laptop with a processor that is already a full generation behind as its not like a desktop that I can simply pop a new processor into.

    Too bad this is going to be a personal rather than a work purchase as I have zero experience with HP laptops and don’t relish plopping down $2200 on an experiment.
