The 2010 Vyrus 987 C3 4V was recently awarded the title of 'most powerful production bike.'

You are looking at the motorcycle equivalent of the Bugatti Veyron, a 211 mile per hour monster that as of now has the title of the most powerful production bike on the road. And in case you’re not brave enough to sit on what is essentially a land based cruise missile, there will also be 170 and 184 hp versions which lack the supercharger of the range topping model. 1. dang at 6:50pm 6th February 2010 That was me, and it was a personal reflection. I am not confident enough in my riding skills, nor the traffic around me, to pay out that much for a bike.

Oh, if I had this bike in front of me I'd definitely appreciate it. I'd love to see one in person.

On a side note, just because I could afford it doesn't mean I'd feel comfortable paying for it. Many factors come in to play. But again, for me it's merely confidence in not wrecking the bike. :)
  2. t. stephens at 9:27am 6th February 2010 It's not stolen from Bimota. Vyrus built the bike for Bimota for the first year. Why don't you make sure you know something before you call someone a thief!
  3. t. stephens at 9:22am 6th February 2010 Someone made the comment that $70k was to much money for the Vyrus 987. I've got news for you. Vyrus won't even start an order for $70k. I have a Vyrus 984 with a NCR 1200cc race engine and I spent well over $100k for it. If you worry about the price of such things, you're in the wrong place. Instead of talking about the price, consider what you're lucky enough to be looking at. This is a true work of art. This is state of the art of motorcycles. The only thing I have a problem with; I thought mine was the most spectacular piece of machinery in the world. Now I know it's the second best. One last thought. People that own a Vyrus have owned many motorcycles in the past. They can obviously afford any one they want. If they are riding one of these and telling you it's the finest bike in the world, maybe there might be something to it. Trust me on this point, nobody is riding a Vyrus to impress people. They ride it for the love of the sport.
  4. MIKEEEEE at 2:24pm 3rd February 2010 25 years from now my 25 year old k-bike will still be running and this rocket will be obsolete next month.
  5. Stevo at 11:44am 3rd February 2010 Hmmm, the design is pretty much stolen directly from the Bimota Tesi 2D. Might be the most powerful but it's far from original.
  6. dang at 10:40am 3rd February 2010 Beautiful bike, but $70k USD for it is crazy. I'd only buy that bike if I was a professional racer, as I can't imagine accidentally dumping it.
