We got a chance to see the new 2011 Ford Edge up-close before it launches later this summer. The crossover vehicle features a sleek, low-profile design and Ford’s breakthrough in-dash technology, MyFord Touch. The SE, SEL, and Limited models feature a standard 3.5L V6 engine which pumps out 285 horsepower and can get up to 27 mpg on the highway.
The Edge Sport, however, was what grabbed our attention. Its 22-inch wheels with black spoke accents along with its “tuxedo black” grille give it a more aggressive look. Matching the Sport’s aggressive design is the optional 3.7L V6 engine that delivers best-in-class power: 305 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque.
The tests were between the sport AWD and a regular FWD ! Different weight …+ the wonderful 22's
To bad the Sport is SLOWER than the model under it. The SPORT is a porker and weighs 500 lbs MORE. Even the Mustang V6 wont help it. Its almost a second slower to 60…..its a 40,000 dollar pigger.
