Video search engine announces a deal to make searchable video content from various MTV Networks properties such as Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
blinx.tv earlier this week said they’d inked a deal with MTV Networks to make searchable through their video search engine programming from various MTV properties. The full slate of MTV programming should be available through the blinx Web site now.
Under the terms of the deal, the two companies said, video programming from MTV properties CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV and VH1 will be searchable through via the blinx engine, which uses voice recognition technology to index and transcribe content. Examples of shows which are searchable include CMT’s “CMT Insider,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” Logo’s “Noah’s Arc,” MTV’s “Real World: Key West,” and VH1′s “Web Junk 20â€.
