Breakaway cruise liner ready to call Big Apple its home

The Big Apple is getting a big addition in the form of the Breakaway yacht, a 4,000 passenger cruise-ship set to call NYC it's home in 2013.

New York is getting set to become the home to one of the largest ships ever built. Scheduled to be launched in April 2013, the Breakaway yacht will be the large enough to accommodate 4,000 passengers and will weigh in around 144,000 tons.

The Breakaway will offer 7 day cruises from New York to Bermuda and feature a wealth of amenities, such as a luxury private area called “The Haven”, in-room dining, multiple swimming pools, spas, and spacious rooms, that will rival even the most luxurious boutique hotel.
