ya ur gettting that cuz of speed burst. It's engaged when u speed test. Try downloading a large file (not from a torrent) and check back

I call BS. I have comcast too and its not a fixed speed either, it goes in bursts. I think you work for Comcast Tom.

um…james…you are so wrong its unbelievable. do a simple speed test, and you will see how far off you are. i have 50mbps through comcast now…and my speed is 50mbps..on a speedtest liek all the time…get your facts straight..it also depends on how many devices are connected through your router, and weather, and the speed of your computers.

Comcast may promise 100mbps, but you will likely get half of that since it will be marketed as “burst” speeds. It's called nait and switch tactics. At least with Verizon you get the full promised download rate.
