Seriously, this is f**king awesome. I fall asleep most nights watching Cosmos re-runs on youtube; that it’s going to air on Fox is mind-boggling, but so much the better. I just hope that doesn’t doom it to failure.

This is the most exciting news from the world of science that I’ve heard for years. I remember how the old Cosmos series brought me to tears with its grand sweep of human scientific thought as it profoundly altered the course of my own life. I rued the return of post-modern relativism and new-age mysticism as a turning away from logic, reason and the search for the truth. To have this wonderful series updated and written, no less, by Ann Druyan, Carl Sagan’s widow, is fantastic news, indeed! I am so-o-o looking forward to it!
