As midnight showing time of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire draws near, Fandango says this movie sets records as it accounts for 93 percent of advanced ticket sales.
As fans nationwide begin to line up for midnight showings of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, online movie ticket sales company Fandango announced their latest advanced ticket sales numbers. Like their announcement earlier this month, the latest Harry Potter movie looks to be on its way to setting box office records.
Fandango said that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire had, as of yesterday, accounted for 93 percent of advanced ticket sales. This makes it the fastest selling Potter movie in the company’s history, as well as making it the top-selling film since the summer release of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
“There’s great anticipation that Harry will kick off a fantastic holiday movie season,” says Fandango President and CEO, Art Levitt. “Audiences are rooting for Harry this weekend — and the buzz is tremendous. Based on our advance ticket sales, we are expecting a ‘Hagrid’-sized hit.”

RSSI'd like to see this movie, but would probably have to go by myself since the old lady isn't into Harry Potter that much, and the kid is too young for this movie.
