Mini showed off a new concept for an off-road 4×4 Beachcomber which gives Mini lovers a hint at what a Mini crossover might look like if ever put in production. The Beachcomber is without doors and its roof is covered by a folding hardtop or soft-top. It keeps the recognizable Mini style while providing outdoor enthusiasts with features such as 4×4 and the ability to carry equipment for those expeditions into the wild.

Pretty sweet design
Love it!!
I totally dig this little guy. It still doesn't win out over my all time favorite rugged car – the Landrover Defender. I'm seriously considering picking up a Defender 90 as my summer truck, but am a little concerned with Rover's reputation fro reliability. Does anyone have any first hand experience?
From the side it kinda looks like the old Kia Sportage.I love the look and the concept. Wonder what the roof and doors would look like. They should put a glass roof on it.
