Nike’s World Cup Ad features some of soccer’s biggest names, from Rooney, to Ronaldinho, to Ronaldo.

With the World Cup less than a month away, Nike (and every other sports company, and sports related company, or even sports themed company looking to hitch their wagons to the lucrative festivities that surround the biggest tournament in the known universe) is preparing for the event through several creative new advertisements, including this newest piece titled “Write The Future”. You might wonder why a shoe and clothing manufacturer’s soccer themed video is featured on a tech website. Because it is awesome, that’s why.

The short clip was directed by well known Hollywood director Alejandro G. Inarritu (21 Grams, Babel), and features several soccer greats, as well as tennis champ Roger Federer, Kobe Bryant, and features a special appearance by Homer Simpson.

  4. Great spot at 9:55am 23rd May 2010 Nike is in Beaverton but W+K has offices in Portland, New York, Amsterdam, London, Shanghai, Tokyo, Delhi.
Regardless where it was made, it is fantastic!
Around Portland, W+K people have a rep for being a bit arrogant but if they keep producing like this, it's hard to argue with them. Someone is doing something right.
