User-Generated Content Can Fly with Kyte

Kyte.tv tests the skies with a new online and mobile service that can broadcast user-generated content.

Got a great video clip you’ve just captured and you just have to broadcast it now? You might want to check out kyte.tv. The company reported today that its new offering will enable consumers to create their own interactive TV channels and make them accessible by mobile, PC, and eventually on television.

Users can take a picture or video with a camera phone and broadcast it to their kyte channel, or even create a show by using drag and drop tools—like incorporating polls, text, slideshows, and text—online.  Once live, you can chat with your audience, interact through polls, or invite your friends to co-produce on your channel, the company says.

"kyte.tv brings together three trends—user-generated content, social networking, and mobile services—in a unique way,” said Daniel Graf, co-founder and CEO of kyte in a statement. “This is a fundamental change in entertainment and broadcasting for the masses. It’s TV that’s created by the audience for their audiences, with unique collaborative and social features—it’s TV out of the box."

kyte.tv is based in San Francisco.
