I started with Netgear’s MP101 (Digital Music Player) and was not happy with it at all. I took it back and picked up D-Link DSM-320, found out that it was even worst than Netgear’s product. Returned the D-link also, when I came across the Roku M500. I really do love this device. What it does, it does very well and for that I don’t mind to $200 price tag. I really thing that this is the best device on the market right now (2/2005). This product is a job done well and it shows that Roku put alot of thought into the development of the product line. I like it so much that I plan purchase another one to keep at the office.
PS: The was a really great review by DesignTechica, I only disagree with your score of this product.

Great solution to play all that digitized music on your stereo without wires. Works well and very reliable. Also plays Internet Radio stations. A bargain in my view. The only downside I can see is that there is no 802.11g support. So your 802.11g network slows down to 11 Mbps (less when counting real data) when hooking up this baby.
