There are a lot of things to like about the AudioTron. I have owned one for about 1 year and love it. I no longer fumble around with CDs, looking for the music I want; just turn the dial on the AudioTron. The music is very accessible and the sound is great. I ripped the music at 196Kbps for better quality. It is easy to setup groups of CDs either at the AudioTron or at the PC using the browser based configuration software.
I store my mp3s on an old Pentium I with 49 MB of memory that I was going to give away. It was already on my wired network, just collecting dust. Even with this low power machine it is possible to listen and record music at the same time.
The reviewer is correct in stating that the setup is not quit as straight forward as advertized, and I would hope that Turtle Beach include more setup information in their manual. In the preference tab of the setup I checked the “error checking” box. Seemed like a good idea at the time. There was very little information about what choice to make. I started have recording problems and only after a call to Tech Support did I uncheck the box and my recording went as they should.
Once you enjoy life without stacks of CDs everywhere you will wonder how you got along without the AudioTron.
