Some of them are and many regularly communicate with minors. More broadly though, if college students are sexting this much, high schoolers are no different.

...this article is amusing because this is just the next generation of how teens communicate with one another in a sexual fashion.

When I was in High School it was AIM and AOL chats: the difference was that no one was "up in arms" about this kind of thing; we talked to our peers and told them to get naked, we uploaded pictures and sent them, we jumped on AOL and went through chat rooms and tried to find lonely housewives to get naked for us.

Same thing, differet medium: that will never change.

There's gonna be a big sex offender list coming up in the future. I can see it now. Easiest way to exact revenge, sext someone and call the cops. I don't think they thought this one out that well. By 2020 80% of America will be a sexual offender.
