Of course, it’s sometimes hard to see a bargain from a ripoff, so make sure to check the specs of things like PCs and figure out what the regular price is before hauling off and buying something. For example, if you look into the Lord of the Rings Blu-ray deal, you’ll see it’s an especially good offer since it is, indeed, the special Extended Edition of the series.

  2. jesterking at 8:37am 21st November 2011 I'm not really seeing anything that I would go for. I would go for a new phone, but that requires you to be a new subscriber. Which is dumb.
    1. Jeffrey Van Camp at 8:50am 21st November 2011 Yeah, that's a crappy requirement that's been popping up. It shows that carriers care more about making new customers than retaining their current customers. But, really, I think we're all too afraid to switch carriers anyway. It's not hard.
      1. jesterking at 3:09pm 21st November 2011 Oh, I've done it... Went from AT&T to Verizon... I have no problem switching again if I wanted. Carriers make it super easy to retain your number now with the phone number portability act. But yeah, they only care about bringing new clients on, to retaining the ones they have... If they made the requirement just a new two year contract, I would jump on it and they would make more money.
