android-over-apple

Google's Android continues to grow, reaching a new milestone today with 100,000 apps available.

Android reached a career highlight today, announcing via Twitter that it has reached 100,000 apps. This makes it easily one of the largest app markets out there, coming in second place to the iPhone’s nearly 300,000 available apps.

Android’s achievement comes at merely two years since its launch date, an admirable success.  While it still trails Apple, it continues to challenge its competitor. What’s more, is that some speculate Apple has become so inundated with apps that developers may be more inclined to produce content for Android and its seemingly more selective marketplace.

Not only does the EVO smoke the iphone, the Android system is actually open and configurable, unlike the ibrick which you have to use the way Steve Jobs says. Screw that. UP WITH ANDROID!!
  2. @Vogsoft at 11:21pm 25th October 2010 I really don't know why i don't like adroid, maybe for my sonyericssion x10i? How could it still keep using the os1.6 and don't update to 2.1?? It has already drive me crazy!!!
  3. joe at 9:20pm 25th October 2010 I use to have iPhone for the ipod other then that, nothing special to knock my socks off, android from Verizon is cheaper on 2 phoned unlimited data, now ATT dont have unlimited anymore, they do only on current costumers

  7. Bill at 6:34pm 25th October 2010 Great...So it has 100,000 apps. But Google still needs to get their act together on the Market. It leaves a lot to be desired. I'm looking forward to Amazon's app store.

  10. Dan at 5:48pm 25th October 2010 Don't be mad at me guys, but I dropped my Evo for the iPhone4 because sprint dropped my hospital discount so I dropped their service. So, let me tell u this. The retina display is awesome, but besides that, android smokes iOS. I feel like I'm handcuffed with iOS. I'll wait till the end of my 30 days and pick up the captivate.
