Better yet, you could convince phone carriers to lower the data package rate fees … Maybe that’s what you should pay a lawyer to do … come up with a way to lower data package costs.

Apple didn't invent touch-screens, or multi-touch technology. They stole it from freely created research students efforts, and community developers of the software and hardware. The only patents they have, are with phones using multi-touch screens... but by all accounts, legally, they are not "phones", as a phone is a device which ONLY communicates sound. You don't use touching while you speak, so the touch part is in the multi-media computer, thus, it is an infringement of every touch-pad created by IBM for every laptop. (Yes, those are also multi-touch. Most just don't program for it. You can scroll and slide and mouse all at the same time, potentially, on any touch-pad.)

Last time I checked, the government owned multi-point tracking patents, which is what MIT students and society used to create the multi-touch that apple stole, from open-source and unpatentable material. They are not even legitimate patents, via patent law. Just that no-one ever contested the applications. Now we will!

What are our American companies doing filing law suits against each other … isn’t the economy difficult enough ? Maybe you could be taking all that money going to lawyers to simply build a newer product, or offer discounts on your current products. Do you two really want to spend that much money on lawyers?

This is getting interesting. If Ms opens its patents war-chest to protect HTC then surely other Android Manufacturers will come on board, since they are assured protection they are not getting from Google.

Where do you get that!!.. Huge following .. Multiple taxing while your talking on the phone biggest app base !!… All most of the others came sbout because of the apple tecnology. Lack of flash video is biggest draw back!!., easy to get by if one. Of my facebook friends I have over 500 around the world . I open it on my laptop!!.. The big question why are you a apple hater ???????

Apple is just pissed cause the novelty of touch screen has faded into normality and everyone has reverted back to the general idea that apple is mediocre like they were in the 90's

Whenever I read about company's suing each other, it tells me that they are freaking out about losing market share, and this is their last attempt at lashing out and making some extra money. That's why i'm surprised to see Apple doing this to so many companies. Why not just settle and sign license agreements like Microsoft has done on Android based handsets. Microsoft makes like $7 per phone. Now that's smart.
