Can’t decide what to have for dinner? This app will make the call for you. Tell it what ingredients you have, what type of dish you’d like, and how much time you have and it’ll provide a recipe for your requirements.
We count on Evernote to keep track of our important ideas and thoughts, so why not trust its sibling app with food? Evernote Food helps you stash away recipes and meals you loved so you can experience them again.
Restaurants and Bars
No time to whip up a meal at home? No problem. There’s plenty of restaurants around town waiting to serve you. There’s over 20,000 participating food stops and is the industry standard for getting reservations.
We probably don’t need to explain Yelp to you, as it’s well known service at this point. But you should have the app so you can find places to check out, hidden gems around the city, and read reviews to avoid bad food.
Things to Do
Nights that you spend sitting inside could become an experience in town. Check StubHub for cheap tickets to events and snagging some seats. You might catch a show you would have missed.
SeatGeek is the curator of tickets across all mediums. It takes tickets posted on various sites, including StubHub and eBay, and helps you score tickets for the events you want to attend.
Places to Visit
You never know what’s going on just next door to you. Or at least you didn’t until you had AroundMe. Drop a pin anywhere on the map and watch it populate with events and happenings taking place around that area.
If you’re traveling and land in a city that is new to you, Viator can be your digital travel planner. It points you to tours and attractions to check out and deals and savings you can get to make the most of your time there.
Movies and Theater
Flixster is a great app for looking up information about films. It offers Rotten Tomatoes scores integrated into the app so you can see what’s good and what should be avoided at all costs, and has movie times for all major theaters.
If you want to reserve your tickets for a film before heading to the theater, Fandango is the way to go. This app is the difference between catching a film on opening night and heading home empty handed.
