MS has a good cover/keyboard. If they only advertised the functionality of that instead of the magnetic connection with the tablet; like they did on that dumb commercial they wasted money on.

Maybe if they showed more stuff the MS Surface could do then maybe they might have made some sales..instead they make commercials like Apple and expect people to jump at a product they know nothing about…people know ipad..but people don’t know Surface…plus if you’re gonna beat Apple then drop the $$$$$$$$$$….like Kindle..Kindle beat them on price even though it was a lower performing machine…learn a lesson from Amazon..

Yeah I know right. You can tell they are going for one of those catchy songs for a commercial to grab your attention but the focus more on dancing than the product. The iPad and galaxy commercials solo focus on their tablets they should of did the same, atlease show the specs of the device and some of its capabilities

I whole-heartedly agree about the lack of information contained in their surface ads. It looks like a regular tablet that just has a keyboard as an accessory. That doesn’t stand out in any way from the competition. The surface tablets could potentially replace laptops for businesses and consumers, but you’d never know that from the lousy commercial full of people dancing with their tablets and keyboards.

Let’s go apple!! yeah the ipads are great i use mines about 80% the day. the microsoft new tablet commercial comes off as a gimmick to me i just couldn’t get a good feel of what all it does and how is it the next big thing? so yeah their commercial are meh

I wish Microsoft would belly up. I don’t care if Apple or Google or somebody else is on top, Microsoft just craps garbage over everybody and apparently 1.3 billion users worldwide eat it up just because that is what they have at Sears and they don’t know any better.

I spoke to an employee of this very store today (someone definitely in the know who I have a long-standing business relationship with and has no reason to lie) told me that this is a complete fabrication and that they did pretty well on Black Friday. Apparently the only thing they were stressed about was not having any Windows Phones left to sell.

Who buys their MS products at their stores anyways. Apple stores are meant to bring in the sheep. That same effect doesn’t work on informed consumers.

Forget the “time” it was observed. The simple fact is that Windows tablet is a working tool, pure and simple. It will not be a popular gift for the average teeny boppers. I mean, how can you live without 2,000 games on your tablet and phone? From what I hear, the Windows tablet is one mean machine, good for them.

I agree, I think its kind of unfair to make assumptions when the Microsoft Store was only observed for 1/4 of the time the Apple store was. Also, its kind of a no-brainer that Apple would sell more tablets. They have two brand new tablets that just came out last month and one relatively new tablet from March while Microsoft only has one.

What type of comparison can really be made if you spent 4 times as many hours in the apple store vs the microsoft store? What if 10 surface tablets were sold an hour before or after you left the MS store?
